RIDING - Just Riding Around

Ride around the hood, out on a track or take it camping but be aware of your local regulations. There are a lot of places with lots of restrictions and some with next to none.

Whatever you do, just try to be mindful of your neighbors, ride safe with knowledge of road laws, and don't be a jackass on a regular basis and you might be ok. Cops do have much better things to do than chase little minibikes around for terrorizing a neighborhood.

Street Legal crf/xr 50s in Arizona: (This is the latest info I know of for AZ). In Arizona, you must have a headlight, tail-light, turn signals, and horn. The bike must also have a VIN (many chinese made bikes don't have one so watch out!). In addition once you get all the parts necessary, you must take the bike to the MVD for inspection. If the bike passes inspection, then it may be eligible for registration. Once you register the bike, you must also get insurance. Since this bike is considered a motorcycle and NOT a GOPED, you must also be 16 and have a class M license. Once you get all those ducks in a row, you can ride street legal (at least until your HOA passes a new rule). Of course after all that, I'd be left wondering why I didn't just ride my big motorcycle which is street legal and save this little bike for fun off-road and private property stuff.

Don't let this happen to you!
