REVIEWS -2004 Parts Unlimited MiniMoto SX National DVD by 50ccchick

I didn't get to attend the MiniMoto SX in Vegas so I like many people awaited the television debut. However, I was ticked to find out that my cable company did not carry the Outdoor Channel so once again I was out of luck on seeing the show. That was until I received my DVD version of the races! YEAH! I figured since I couldn't be at the races, this would be the next best thing. I was right. The program is professionally produced and had an awesome mulitcamera setup that captured all the good angles on the action.

The DVD is about an hour long and contains 4-5 full races featuring stock 50's, modded 50's and mid-size minis. In between races, they included some commercials, a background of mini riding, a quick overview of the bikes being ridden, and they also showed a helmet-cam of what the track was like first person. Aaron Smith also made an appearance doing some awesome back flips. You can watch a few more of his stunts in the extras on the DVD. And speaking of extras, you can get a quick taste of the atmosphere of the races, hear some interviews with some of the greats, and re-watch some of the crashes that happened during the races.

My favorite part of the DVD was the Legends race where teams raced 50's and mid-sizers all in one race with the likes of McGrath, Cooper, and Hofmaster. My least favorite part was that they only showed a some brief snippets of the women's race, which kinda disappointed me, but since the biggest highlight of this race on the DVD was the ESPN gal falling off and cutting across the track, maybe I shouldn't be so disappointed after all?

Anyhow, it sure was great fun to watch the awesome Jeremey McGrath push that little bike around the track.

I'd rate this DVD an A for production, content, and fun. It's a must have for your mini library!
