REVIEWS - Baker Broz. 12 Bar - by 50ccchick

Are you a newbie and want to learn to wheelie? Are you an accomplished stunter and just want a reliable 12 bar to scrape with? Then run, don't walk and get yourself a Baker Broz. 12 bar before those guys realize what a deal their giving you and up the price! At 69.99 plus shipping this thing is a steal. BTW: This is the second generation of their bar. If you have the first gen, you can buy just the tail bar and it hooks up to the old frame kit.

First thing you notice when you get this bar is that it is SOLID. It's not a couple of flimsy pieces of metal welded together, this thing is built to last. Other than the strength, a couple of other features I really like are the ability to EASILY remove the tail bar when you don't need it which helps reduce the weight for racing, and I like that you can replace the scraper if you need to.

Installation is a breeze. SonicJay provides an online detailed installation guide WITH pics to make things clear. I had my 12 bar on within 30 minutes. The only thing I would recommend is that you make sure you have some nice sharp metal bits for your drill.

I am not a wheelie master for sure, but I did put this bar through it's paces. It held up under the weight of my bike and me without even a criek. The extra weight of the bar on the back even helped me pull wheelies a little easier too. I also felt more confident I wasnt going to bust my bikes tail-end if I went over-board on a pull.

As an inexpensive hop-up for your 50, deciding on this Baker 12 Bar is a no brainer.

About the Author: Pam aka 50ccchick, your MTTM site hostess- I started riding motorcycles when I was about 5. We had a little Yamaha 80, street legal, that I used to tear around the backyard on. That was, until I got more interested in riding and raising horses. So the motorcycle went by the way side for years until my ex got an old Yamaha 750 at a garage sale and set about fixing it up so we could take rides together. Course I wanted to drive, so after my divorce, I went out and got a Honda Shadow 600, then an ACE 750. One night while watching TV I saw these old people riding around on kids motorbikes and it looked like a hell of a lotta fun. So, I went out and got a fiddy and since then I've been having a blast fixing it up and riding and racing it around.
