REVIEWS - BBR Tall Seat Complete

After riding on my 50 for a few weeks and getting a "feel" for what the stock seat offered, I was happy to try something else. Since I don't like having to staple things together, I opted for a seat that came complete with foam, cover and plate already put together. My choices were limited to either an SDG or BBR seat. I went with BBR.

Soon after the seat arrived I went to work taking the old seat off and getting the new one on. Should be pretty simple I thought. That is until I noticed that the BBR holes on their plate do not line up quite as nicely on the bike as the stock seat. In addition, some of the holes in the plastic were not drilled deep enough for the screws to catch. This second problem was an easy fix with a Dremmel. The screw holes lining up proved more difficult. I had to put some major pressure on the seat while trying to get the screws in the holes. Out of sheer luck, I happened to decide to sit on the seat before getting all the screws tightened down. When I did, something seemed to "snap" into place on the seat and getting the rest of the screws tightened up from that point was easy. I don't know if I just missed a clip that needed to be seated somewhere or what. The seat did not come with instructions (probably because it should be a no-brainer to install).

Anyway, the seat is on the bike, and I love it. What a difference a few inches of foam makes! BTW: I have heard this BBR seat is softer in comparison to the SDG so I guess it comes down to personal preference on which seat you choose.
